Excellent classic pizza!! We get carry out every time we visit Galveston. It's the perfect meal to bring back to the hotel after a long drive. Our usual order consists of a giant half pepperoni/half cheese pizza, cheesy bread with ranch and pepperoni rolls. All are fantastic but I can't get enough of the pepperoni rolls and cheesy bread. This will forever be our 'go to' Galveston pizza spot!

The atmosphere was very casual. The service was good. The pizza was very good. Didn't try any other food.

Pizza is one of those foods -- usually a dime a dozen, and every shop claims to be "world's best." Having lived in the midwest, west coast, east coast and the northeast, really no one compares to the northeast; however, Papa's is a hidden little gem on Galveston Island that is pretty great. What makes this pizza standout is they do not cheat you, they do not skimp on ingredients. God bless anyone who orders extra cheese, you're going to need a knife and fork, and bib, evidently extra means all the cheese possible and then some. And that alone is just awesome. You will not leave this place feeling ripped off. The staff is laid back and cool, considering they get hit by every tourist, they keep a good disposition. And are super fast. The ambiance is lackluster strip mall, and just meh, but in this case the location, being directly on the beach compensates for the lack of inside appeal. They offer public restrooms, but I believe it may be for paying customers only. If you love "hearty" pizza, while not the world's best, and not authentic New York style by any stretch of the imagination, it's really really good. I would highly recommended this place to a pizza lover, and to be found in south Texas, I'm pleasantly surprised, before Papa's I thought the idea of a decent slice in the area was at best Little Caesars, Papa's single handedly changed my thought process.

This pizza was absolutely amazing!!!! I come to Galveston frequently and would have never guessed to try anything other than seafood out here but i'm glad I did. I ordered the Pepperonis Lovers on thin crust and it was so crispy, exactly how I like my crust, and all the ingredients tasted so fresh. The basil was a nice touch and I wish I added it on the entire pizza. The Chicken Alfredo pizza was also fresh and tasty. They didn't shy on the cheese which I loved but I can say they could've used a bit more sauce on that one, but i'd definitely recommend. 10/10 go try it!

Now as you all know The Hungry Hardhat is definitely a pizza snob fellow Yelpers and Foodies alike. Found Papa's Pizza through a coworker and what can I say... The pizza was AMAZING!!! The chicken wings were perfectly made and hot. Well let me say that everyone was so friendly and polite. Great customer service. I am definitely a return customer and recommend to any and all if you are looking for great pizza in Galveston. The Hungry Hardhat has placed Papas Pizza on his 5 Star Platinum List of places you must try. So let it be written... So let it be EATEN!!

I loved my food!! It was so good. My family loved it too. Very, very clean inside. It gave off a very lax and unpretentious vibe. It was our first time there. They explained their set up & how menu items come. (Menu questions) we got more than we expected! We had pizza, salad, pasta and a sub! One of each specialty. My only complaint was the parking. It was just ugh trying to leave. But other than that no complaints. Restrooms were clean, dining room was spotless. Loved the tv set up, very chill. They were pretty busy and manage to keep it very clean.
